I carved three mid-size rectangular birch bowls at the same time, but they vary in size, shape and grain pattern. This one is a bit larger and more rounded.
The wood is sourced from a large birch tree that had to be removed at a local historic home when its roots started to damage the sidewalk. I hand-carved this bowl using traditional hand tools from a solid block of Yakima Valley hardwood.
Food safe finish. Hand wash, towel dry.
